Hitoshi Takeda absolvierte ein ingenieurwissenschaftliches Studium in Tokyo und arbeitete fast zwanzig Jahre in der Automobilindustrie. Dort beschäftigte er sich hauptsächlich mit Fertigungssteuerungssystemen und Prozessrationalisierung. 1990 gründete er die SPS Management Consultants. Sein Schwerpunkt ist die Entwicklung intelligenter Automatisierungssysteme.
